The Kishida Fumio government took a new aid decision after calls to increase humanitarian aid to Ukraine , against which Russia is at war.
In this direction, 1.7 million dollars of emergency humanitarian aid will be delivered to Ukraine through the United Nations Project Services Office ( UNOPS ).
Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa said that his country will continue to act with the international community to support Ukraine.
After the Russian attacks, the International Organization for Migration ( IOM ) reported that more than 8 million people have been displaced within Ukraine so far.
On the other hand, according to the data of the Migration Services Agency , the number of Ukrainians accepted by Japan increased to 1055.
