In a significant development set to take effect from January 18, 2024, emergency adjustment charges of $1,500 per container will be implemented for shipments from India to the U.S. East Coast, U.S. Gulf Coast, and San Juan. This change is in response to the evolving Red Sea conditions, leading to the withdrawal of all previously quoted rates.
Moreover, starting December 19, a parallel adjustment will be applied to new reservations destined for Mexico, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean, also at a rate of $1,500 per container. Notably, freight rates to Africa are experiencing an increase in response to market dynamics.
