Egypt's iron and steel exports decreased by 23 percent in the first 10 months of 2022 to approximately $1,146 billion, compared to $1,481 billion in the same period last year.
Construction Materials, Refractory and Metal Industries Export Council stated that 75.3 percent of Egypt's 863,099 million dollars of iron and steel exports were realized by 10 countries, while Spain's value was 243,877 million dollars, compared to 349,574 million dollars, with a decrease of 30%.
Exports to the United States, which were approximately 50,085 million dollars in the same period, decreased by 69% to 48,918 million dollars, to 158,497 million dollars, to Canada decreased by 41% to 47,470 million dollars against 80,081 million dollars, and to Portugal decreased by 24% to 38,059 million dollars.
