Egyptian construction sector finds stability as rebar prices hold firm

The Egyptian rebar market has maintained stability this week, despite external economic pressures. Prices for this essential construction material have held firm, with a narrow range observed between EGP 37,500 and EGP 47,000 per ton including 14% VAT.

Taking the forefront were prominent steel manufacturers, demonstrating their dedication to stability through consistent pricing approaches:

Ezz Steel: Despite prevailing market pressures, Ezz Steel stands firm at EGP 46,500 per ton.

Suez Steel: In lockstep with Ezz Steel, Suez Steel also maintains a price of EGP 46,500 per ton. Their synchronized approach underscores the industry’s resilience.

Bishay Steel: Slightly edging ahead, Bishay Steel offers rebar at EGP 47,000 per ton. Their competitive pricing aims to capture market share.

El Marakby Steel: El Marakby Steel takes a prudent approach, pricing their rebar at EGP 43,500 per ton. Their positioning balances affordability and quality.

Egyptian Steel: At EGP 46,500 per ton, Egyptian Steel maintains consistency.

Ashry Steel: Ashry Steel aligns with the market trend, offering rebar at EGP 46,500 per ton.

Garhy Steel: Garhy Steel’s price stands at EGP 46,300 per ton, reflecting their commitment to competitiveness.

Misr Steel: Misr Steel takes a more budget-friendly approach, pricing rebar at EGP 39,000 per ton.

El Komy Steel: El Komy Steel’s rebar is priced at EGP 38,000 per ton, appealing to those prioritizing affordability without compromising on quality.

El Ola Steel: El Ola Steel’s competitive edge lies in their EGP 37,500 per ton pricing. A smart choice for budget-conscious projects.

Al Gioshy Steel: Al Gioshy Steel’s rebar comes in at EGP 40,000 per ton, striking a balance between cost-effectiveness and reliability.

The consistency in rebar prices not only stabilizes the construction sector but also instills confidence among investors and developers. With construction projects across the nation relying on a steady supply of rebar, this stability bodes well for Egypt's infrastructure development agenda.
