Within the scope of the State of Emergency, electricity and natural gas consumption fees will not be taken from the damaged housing and workplace.
According to the President's decision on the subject published in today's issue of the Official Gazette, the electricity and natural gas consumption amounts accrued but not collected until February 6, including the amounts arising from the electricity consumption transferred to Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation (TEDAŞ) during the privatization transfer process, will be abandoned.
The electricity and natural gas consumption amounts to be accrued by taking into account the past consumption of these subscribers for the consumption until February 6, and the unpaid invoice amounts for the previous periods, if any, will be covered from the budget of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
Lawsuits and enforcement proceedings, if any, for invoice amounts decided to be abandoned will end. The fees charged for enforcement proceedings will not be charged, but any fees previously levied will not be refunded. Subscribers with public legal personality and general lighting subscriptions are outside the scope of the decree.
