According to JISF (Japan Iron and Steel Federation) data, Japan's steel exports reached 2.8 million in July 2023, down 12% from June.
In the first seven months of 2023, Japan's steel exports fell to 19 million tons. While Japan's steel exports to South Korea increased by 6 percent year on year, it was recorded as 3.5 million tons; Steel exports to Thailand decreased by 7 percent to 2.8 million tons, while steel exports to China decreased by 33 percent to 1.6 million tons.
