The implementation of the customs duty on flat rolled products made of alloyed or non-alloyed iron and steel, which was regulated by the President's decision published on January 28, and which was expected to come into effect on February 28, was postponed to April 1.
According to the President's decision published in the Official Gazette dated February 26, the effective date of customs duties on flat rolled products made of alloyed or non-alloyed iron and steel was changed to the 1st of April.
Within the scope of the Presidency's import regime decision dated January 28, customs duties on flat rolled products made of alloyed or unalloyed iron and steel between the customs tariff statistical positions (GTİP) no. rates ranging from 0 percent to 20 percent. It was aimed that the customs tax rates regulated by the decision would enter into force on the 30th day following the publication of the decision.
In the footnotes of the aforementioned decision, it was decided that these customs duties would be temporarily applied as 13 percent and 15 percent for some production facilities and be subject to end-use provisions.
