According to statistics shared by the China Iron and Steel Association, in mid-July 2023, steelmakers' crude steel output increased by 0.35 percent year-on-year, reaching 2.25 million tons per day. During the same period, China's crude steel production was expected to increase by 0.27 percent compared to the beginning of July, reaching 3 million tons per day.
The China official stated that the global crude steel production in 2023 will not exceed the production of last year. The China’s authoritywill work on some new policies to stimulate consumption, fix the real estate market and ensure economic recovery.
