The University of Michigan announced the final consumer confidence index data for December, which was prepared in line with the trends of American consumers. Accordingly, consumer confidence increased by 2.9 points to 59.7 in December compared to the previous month.
The consumer confidence index was recorded as 56.8 in November.
The economic conditions index increased by 0.6 points month on month.
The current economic conditions index, which measures Americans' assessment of current financial conditions, increased by 0.6 points month-on-month to 59.4 in December.
The consumer expectations index, which reflects the long-term projections of consumers, increased by 4.3 points to 59.9 in the same period.
