Construction production in the European Union (EU) increased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous month in September, when the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) measures were relaxed.
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has released seasonally adjusted construction production data for the EU and the Eurozone for September.
Accordingly, construction production in the 19-member Eurozone increased by 0.9 percent in September compared to August. Construction production increased by 1.5 percent compared to September of 2020.
Construction production in the EU increased by 1.2 percent in September compared to the previous month and by 1.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
Among EU countries, the highest increase in construction production in September compared to the previous month was measured in Slovenia with 8.5 percent, Sweden with 6 percent and Hungary with 4.1 percent.
The highest decrease was determined in Romania (4.9%), Slovakia (3.8%) and Poland (1.9%).
