The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published seasonally adjusted construction production data for the EU and the Eurozone for October.
Accordingly, construction production in the 19-member Eurozone increased by 1.6 percent in October compared to September. Construction production increased by 4.4 percent compared to October 2020.
Construction production in the EU increased by 1.4 percent in October compared to the previous month and by 4.2 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
Among EU countries, the highest increase in construction production in October compared to the previous month was measured in France with 4.9 percent, Poland with 2.6 percent and Germany with 1.2 percent.
The highest decrease was observed in Slovenia with 9.2 percent, Austria with 1.4 percent and Portugal with 1.2 percent.
