The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published seasonally adjusted construction production data for the European Union (EU) and Eurozone for June.
Accordingly, construction production in the 19-member Eurozone decreased by 1.3 percent in June compared to May. Construction production increased by 0.1 percent compared to June 2021.
While construction production in the EU decreased by 1.2 percent in June compared to the previous month, it increased by 0.6 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
Among EU countries, the highest decrease in construction production in June compared to the previous month was measured in Hungary with 5.2 percent, Slovakia with 5 percent and Austria with 4.8 percent. The highest increase was determined in Slovenia with 1.7 percent, the Netherlands with 1 percent and Finland with 0.2 percent.
