Commercial Metals Company has announced a significant expansion at its micro-mill facility in southern Mesa, Arizona. The improvements include the expansion of the facility by an additional 63,000 square feet and the commissioning of a production line to produce roller rebar.
According to a company press release, the investment will help the company produce hot-rolled spooled rebar of different sizes and ranges from the facility. This is the company's second rebar investment in the US, the first being in Durant, Oklahoma. The company has invested approximately $75 million in the Mesa facility since it opened in 2009.
