Çolakoğlu Metallurgy has achieved significant success in the field of stainless steel

Reaching a heat size of 298.2 tons in the vacuum oxygen decarburization (VOD) unit at the facility supplied by Primetals Technologies, Çolakoğlu Metalurji set the world record in the field of stainless steel production by reaching the highest liquid steel tonnage of all time. In addition to this success, it was announced by Primetals Technologies that Çolakoğlu Metalurji broke another world record for VOD units by reaching a carbon content of 5 ppm after decarburization in the same unit.
