China's coal production in September increased by 0.4% compared to August. The main reason for this was the increase in energy demand and economic recovery. Along with the increase in demand, production was also increased.
The country's coal-fired electricity generation increased by 2.3 per cent y-o-y in September.
In the January-September period of 2023, coal production increased by 3% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 3.44 billion tonnes.
According to the published data, total production in September was calculated as 392.98 million tonnes. The daily average coal production increased to 13.1 million tonnes from 12.71 million tonnes so far.
Coke production increased by 3.6% to 41.44 million tonnes in September, and the year-to-date increase of 2.6% was recorded as 368.31 million tonnes.
