In September 2023, the production of hot-rolled steel coils in China amounted to 17.77 million tons, decreasing by 1.34% compared to the previous month, but increasing by 17% compared to September 2022.
In turn, Chinese output of cold-rolled steel coils in the indicated month was at 3.675 million tons, down 4.61% compared to the month earlier, but up 13.3% compared to a year earlier.
For nine months from the beginning of this year, the production of hot-rolled steel coils in the country amounted to 154.119 million tons, an increase of 12.9%, while cold-rolled coils were at the level of 28.925 million tons, an increase of 3.4%, both comparisons compared with the same period last year.
