China's scrap imports fell

In July, total imports of ferrous scrap decreased by 12.4% compared to June and amounted to 31,758 tons.

In July, imports from Japan, the main supplier of steel scrap to China, also decreased by 13.6% compared to the previous month and amounted to 17,175 tons. This volume accounted for about 54.1% of the country's total scrap imports.
