China's seamless pipe mills, comprising 32 producers and 122 production lines, reported a total output of 305,000 tons during the week of August 1-7. This represents a decrease of 10,800 tons compared to the previous week but an increase of 1,400 tons from the same period last month.
During this time, stock levels stood at around 765,000 tons, reflecting a decrease of 4,200 tons from the previous week but a slight increase of 700 tons compared to a month ago. The capacity utilization rate was recorded at 66.28%, showing a decrease from the previous week by 2.35% but a slight increase of 0.3% compared to last month. The operating rate was 50%, down by 2.46% compared to both the prior week and the previous month.
The data from China's seamless pipe mills indicates a mixed performance in early August. While there's a slight increase in output compared to the same period last month, the periodic decrease in the market points to fluctuations in demand or operational difficulties.
