According to data released by SteelRadar from the International Trade Centre (ITC), China's rebar imports in July 2024 decreased by 19.4% yoy to 3,599 tons from 4,446 tons in the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month of June, it decreased by 40.1%.
In the January-July 2024 period, total rebar imports increased by 38.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, increasing from 26,864 tons to 37,314 tons.
Malaysia was the major rebar importing country for China in July with 1,835 tons, followed by Qatar with 672 tons and Japan with 295 tons.
