During the same period, daily pig iron production averaged 1.82 million tonnes, a decrease of 4.03% compared to the previous ten days. On the other hand, daily finished steel production increased by 2.10% compared to ten days ago, reaching 2.06 million tons, due to many large member companies making central settlements at the end of October.
It is estimated that daily crude steel production at the national level reached 2.62 million tons, decreasing by 3.68% compared to ten days ago. While daily pig iron production was expected to be 2.30 million tons, with a 2.94% decrease compared to ten days ago, daily finished steel production was 3.79 million tons, with a 2.86% decrease.
As of October 31, CISA's major member steel producers had 13.77 million tons of finished steel in stock. This stock is 16.60% or 2.74 million tons lower than in mid-October and decreased by 9.68% or 1.48 million tons compared to the same period in September. Moreover, the data shows that this volume was 16.40% or 2.70 million tons lower than in the same period of the previous year.
