According to data collected by SteelRadar from the International Trade Centre (ITC), China's billet exports in July 2024 decreased by 4.72% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 240,336 tons to 228,963 tons. Compared to June, it increased by 30.87%.
In the January-July period of 2024, total billet exports decreased by 36.6% year-on-year, from 1,774,883 tons to 1,125,427 tons.
In the January-July period, Italy was the major billet export destination of China with 264,045 tons, followed by Indonesia with 214,232.8 tons, Indonesia followed by Taiwan with 94,829.4 tons, Taiwan followed by the Philippines with 72,450.6 tons, and the Philippines followed by Guatelama with 71,982.9 tons.
