China Minmetals Corporation (Minmetals) started mining iron ore at a cost of approximately 10.8 billion yuan in the Chentaigou deposit in northeast China.
In the first stage, the company aims to extract approximately 10 million tons of ore per year and produce 5 million tons of iron ore concentrate.
Market experts think that this project will become important in the supply chain in China's steel market.
