The Department for Internal Market Protection of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported "on the results of the anti-dumping investigation into cold deformed seamless stainless steel pipes originating in China and Malaysia and imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, which was repeated due to changed circumstances".
According to the results published in the report, the EEC plans to maintain the current measures on these metal products for another 5 years. In addition, it is proposed to increase the import duty rate. Currently, the amount of duty on imports of such pipes is 19.15% of the customs value.
"Due to the changed circumstances, the current anti-dumping measure is insufficient to combat dumped imports and eliminate the damage caused to the metallurgical industry due to dumped imports. In the EEC materials, it is proposed to change the rate of anti-dumping duties payable on imports into the Customs Union of the Eurasian Economic Union in accordance with the amount of the anti-dumping margin determined during the repeated anti-dumping investigation (29.39%)."
