The facility, built on an area of 29,000 square meters holds the title of Germany's largest flat plate solar collector system. With a nominal power of 20 MW, the system serves a wide range of facilities from homes to hospitals, hotels to spa centers.
Antti Lilleberg, CEO of Meriaura Energy, stated, "This project represents the beginning of a new era in clean energy production." The system is reported to be equipped with 1,800 high-efficiency Savo 16S solar collectors and a massive 8,000 m³ heat storage tank.
The specially designed sections provided by SSAB play a key role in the project's success. SSAB Account Manager Tiina Paajanen explained, "With increasing demand, we have developed innovative solutions that can respond to Meriaura Energy's changing needs."
Expressing satisfaction with their decade-long collaboration, Lilleberg said, "SSAB stands out not only for its superior product quality but also for its approach to quickly responding to customer needs and flexibility."
This innovative project has drawn attention as a striking example of how renewable energy sources can transform local communities.
