According to the information provided by JAMA (Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association), car production in Japan increased by 21 percent on an annual basis in April 2023 and reached 711,500. Looking at the period between January and April, car production in the country increased by 15 percent compared to 2022 and was recorded as 2,936,974.
In addition, car exports in the country increased by 15 percent compared to April 2022 and reached 365,000. Looking at the overall January-April month, car exports increased by 8 percent on an annual basis and reached the level of 1,315,820.
