As reported by SteelRadar, Vesuvius, an industrial giant with 318 years of history, has completed the official approvals of the acquisition process that started in November and Vesuvius Overseas Limited has become the main shareholder of Piromet Pirometalurji Malzeme Refrakter Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ.
Founded in 2008, Piromet processes magnesite ores in Türkiye and supplies refractory materials and related application technologies to steel mills. The company has production facilities in Dilovası and Kütahya.
Founded in 1704 and operating in 40 countries around the world, Vesuvius offers advanced refractory solutions for the steel and casting industries. The company has a turnover of GBP 1.9 billion and employs more than 11 thousand people.
With this acquisition, Vesuvius aims to strengthen its position in the global steel and mining technologies market by expanding its operations in Türkiye.
