Brazil's wire rod exports decreased in August

In August this year, Brazil's wire rod exports stood at around 6,400 tons, down by 77.1% compared to July.

Exports to South American countries totaled 2,800 tons, to the USA 2,600 tons and to the Dominican Republic 1,000 tons. ArcelorMittal's supply accounted for the largest share with around 5,000 tons.

Imports reached 28,000 tons, a 40.3% increase from the previous month. China was the largest import source, with 26,000 tons, while Russia ranked second with 1,200 tons.
