According to Brazil Customs, Brazil shows a significant decrease of 93% compared to last month and 46% compared to last year by importing about 2.100 tons of scrap in November 2022.
Paraguay was the main supplier with around 1,700 tons. In addition, Germany with 160 tons and Mexico with 100 tons were among the suppliers, following Paraguay.
Imports were mostly made from the ports of Santos, Foz do Iguaçu and Itajai.
Brazil, which imported 243,000 tons of scrap in the January-November period last year, imported 42,000 tons of scrap in the same months this year.
