In September this year, Brazil's scrap exports totaled around 98,000 tons, increased by 51.9% compared to August and by 153% compared to September 2022.
In January-September this year, Brazil's scrap exports totaled 575,000 tons, increased by 87.3%. 56% of these exports were to India.
Scrap imports decreased y-o-y
In September this year, Brazil's scrap imports stood at 1,300 tons, up by 9.2% on a monthly basis and down by 71% on an annual basis.
Imports in the January-September period fell by 57% y-o-y to 15,300 tons. Bolivia was the main supplier of these imports.
