In April this year, Brazil exported 7.3% less iron ore on a monthly basis and 1.9% more on a yearly basis. Total iron ore exports stood at 25.2 million tons.
The value of exports in this period amounted to USD 2.2 billion.
Iron ore exports up 3.7% in first four months
In the first four months of this year, Brazil's iron ore exports increased by 3.7% y-o-y to nearly 100 million tons. During this period, the value of exports amounted to US$8.3 billion.
China accounted for 58% of exports, Malaysia 5.9%, Japan 4.5%, Bahrain 4.4% and Oman 3.6%.
