Borusan Mannesmann, one of the leading iron and steel companies in Turkey, is preparing to implement its second investment in Europe. Borusan Mannesmann, which purchased land in Ploieşti, the center of Prahova, Romania, in January last year for a price of 805 thousand euros, is building a steel pipe processing plant with an investment of 15 million euros, that is, 307 million euros at today's exchange rate.
Borusan-Mannesmann Romania company management visited Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation, including General Manager Ali Okyay and Project Manager Deniz Tıryaki, met with Aurelian Gogulescu, President of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the information announced by the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the plant will be built in the PWP Industrial Park and will also produce for the automotive supply industry. When completed, 50-60 people will be offered employment opportunities in the first phase of the facility. The number of employees will increase by 3 to more than 150 in the next two years.
