The Belarusian metallurgical plant has signed a contract with a Russian company to sell dust that is generated as production waste. This was reported on the air of the Belarus 4 TV channel.
According to the ten-year contract, the total volume of supplies from the plant will be 500 thousand tons. Since a lot of waste has accumulated at BMZ landfills, the volume of the contract may be expanded in the future.
At present, several hundred thousand tons of metallurgical dust have accumulated in the plant’s warehouses.
In the Belgorod region, dust will now be processed, in the process of which zinc-containing oxides and slag-forming materials for metallurgical production will be extracted from it.
