In the first four months of 2024, the Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) fulfilled almost all the set targets.

The press service of the Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) reports that based on the results of work in the first four months of 2024, the plant managed to fulfil almost all of the established key indicators. The plant operates with positive profitability, and the volume of production has increased significantly. The plant's products are in demand, and since the beginning of the year, the growth in the metal goods sector has been 14% compared to the same period in 2023. Growth was 24 % for steel cord, 8 % for bead wire, 17 % for brass plating on steel wire and 11 % for steel wire. Since the beginning of the year, 106 types of innovative products have been delivered.

In terms of steel production, the plant returned to its pre-2022 indicators.

At the beginning of the year, the plant faced difficulties in the supply of raw materials, but since February the situation has stabilised. According to the production results from the beginning of the year, including May, steel production will exceed the level of the same period last year
