Pader Stahl operates two plants in Paderborn with around 40 employees and generated revenues of €37 million ($41 million) in 2022. It offers various processing services, mainly cutting. EHG says the new company in its group will see promising synergies with a warehouse in nearby Bad Oyenhausen.
The takeover will be carried out in two stages, with 50% of the shares changing hands retroactively as of January 1, 2023 and the other 50% at the end of 2026, EHG said.
The Austrian group plans to build a new facility in Aichach, Bavaria, consisting of office buildings and a warehouse. This investment will significantly increase its capacities in Southern Germany and prepare the group for the expected future growth in the region.
The new location will employ 35 staff; the warehouse will be more than 8,000 m2 in size. Construction broke ground in July and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The roof of the warehouse will be covered with solar panels to provide part of the electricity supply for the facility.
