Founded in 1983, Germany-based Badische Stahl-Engineering, which has been operating as a service provider to increase efficiency and productivity in the electrical steel industry worldwide, made a presentation at the EFRS 2024 symposium organized in Izmir.
At the symposium, which was organized to shape the future of the steel industry, develop social and professional networks and increase motivation and morale in the industry, Ralf Schweikle, on behalf of BS-E, talked about the developments made in electric arc furnaces and their future perspectives, underlining that safety is not ignored throughout the production processes.
He emphasized that the features that will be integrated into the production furnaces in a fully automated way will be realized by opening new channels. He also mentioned that they will be monitored by thermographic cameras and that the cleaning and filling procedures will proceed in steps.
Schweikle added that the first operations of the integrated operation processes he mentioned were carried out on April 23, 2024 and have been continuing since May.
These new operations continue to be stable for a sustainable future and there are trainings for those operating in the facilities.
