ArcelorMittal plans to restart the No. 2 Blast Furnace at its Fos-sur-Mer plant in France in April after its decision to suspend it in December due to high energy costs, high volume imports and stagnant demand and prices.
However, roll prices in Europe have increased since December, with manufacturers extending delivery times and many offering May deliveries.
According to sources, the company plans for the automotive sector to recover in the coming months. In the final months of 2022, it says it will restore much of the idle capacity.
