Last night, Russian missiles hit the area where ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is located. According to the first information, it was reported that one person was killed and three people were injured in the attack that took place on the night of December the 5th, 2022. Due to the massive rocket attack on infrastructure facilities in Ukraine on the 24th of November, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih's electricity consumption was severely restricted and most of its production processes were suspended.
In September 2022, in an interview with the CEO, Mauro Longobardo, ArcelorMittal announced that Kryvyi Rih is on the verge of closure due to the blockade of Ukrainian ports and low steel prices.
Russia's attacks continue to inflict critical blows on Ukrainian industry. In January 2022, Azovstal and Ilyich, as well as 16 facilities belonging to the Metinvest group of companies that have been attacked by Russia, filed a lawsuit with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) for the damage caused by Russia.
