ArcelorMittal is expected to restart its steel facility (ArcelorMittal Zenica) in Zenica, Bosnia-Herzegovina in January. The facility in Zenica, which was producing approximately 700,000 tons of steel per year, is known to produce main products such as bars, coils, wire rods and steel mesh.
In November last year, the company shut down its rolling mills and blast furnace in Zenica due to the tough market conditions. ArcelorMittal Zenica is also reportedly planning to resume iron ore production at its Prijedor mines in northern Bosnia. With increasing demand, ArcelorMittal Bosnia is expected to resume regular operations once the facility is back in continuous services.
