Aperam SA has made a significant step to support German appliance manufacturer BSH Hausgeräte GmbH's sustainability efforts in the production of dishwashers, announcing that for the first time Aperam infinite™ will use virtually zero-carbon stainless steel.
Aperam infinite™ has a 47% lower carbon footprint than other Aperam brands, which is expected to make a significant contribution to achieving BSH's sustainability goals. It is also made from 98% recycled materials, resulting in an 85% reduction in carbon emissions compared to industry standards.
Aperam is reportedly currently using the Aperam infinite™ brand across a number of products, but the company plans to further these efforts by gradually expanding its sustainability-focused product range and increasing production volumes.
