The Council of Ministers has issued an approval letter announcing a list of 239 raw and semi-raw materials that will be subject to export duties in Iran. This list has been communicated to various ministries including the Ministries of Industry, Mining and Trade, Economic Affairs and Finance, Petroleum, and the Budget Program Organization, as well as the Vice President of Science and Technology.

It has been announced that export duties will be imposed on 80% of iron scrap, 50% of limestone, 20% of iron ore, 20% Iron ore concentrate, %5 Sponge iron, 80.50% Stainless steel, %1.0 Semi-finished products and 2.0% Ingots produced from scrap remelting.

The duties on the export of steel billet have quadrupled, increasing from 0.5% to 2%. As per the resolution of the Council of Ministers, customs authorities are obligated to implement and collect the specified duties starting from the beginning of this year.
