An explosion at a Chinese steel mill kills 4

In the explosion that took place in one of the melting furnaces of Yingkou Iron and Steel factory in the morning, 4 workers lost their lives and 5 workers were injured.

According to the statement made after the accident, the investigation into the incident is still ongoing and experts are evaluating the possibility of equipment failure. Such accidents occur from time to time in production and storage facilities in China, leading to loss of life due to aging infrastructure or inadequate occupational safety measures.

A few months ago, 5 workers were killed in an explosion at an industrial chemicals production plant in Pancin city.

Authorities have called for more focus on issues such as increasing labour safety measures and improving plant infrastructure.

Once the details of the incident are determined and the investigation is completed, the authorities are expected to take preventive measures and take necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from happening.
