Iran's aluminum ingots production, which ranks 18th in the world in aluminum production, increased by 19% compared to production between March 21 and December 21, 2022. Aluminum production, which was 398.61 thousand tons last year, was 474,601 thousand tons this year.
Southern Aluminium Corporation (SALCO) showed its best performance of the year with 203,231 tons of bullion production. Iran Aluminium Company (IRALCO) was among the best performing companies with 132,394 tons of production and Almahdi Aluminium Company was among the best performing companies with 11,479 tons.
According to Iranian officials, enough to cover the country's aluminum needs is worth $22 billion.
