Alcoa Corp. will restart its San Ciprián aluminum smelter in Spain.
The company said it reached an agreement in a vote by a majority of workers to restart the plant in phases. The plant had been shut down for two years.
The restart is scheduled to be completed by October 1, 2025, with at least 75% of its nominal capacity of 228,000 tons per year operating by the end of 2026.
