The Ministry of Trade has published amendments to the Circulars on the Domestic Processing Regime, Export, Transit Trade, Exports Treated as Sales and Deliveries, and Foreign Currency-Earning Services and Activities Exemption from Taxes, Duties, and Fees in the Official Gazette, making them effective immediately.
According to information from the Ministry, these new regulations allow for additional time to be granted to exporting companies under the domestic processing regime with exemptions from taxes, duties, and fees.
As per the changes, additional time can be given for export commitment accounts that have not yet been closed and for domestic processing permits issued after January 1, 2021, except for permits related to goods in tariff positions concerning gold, precious stones, and minerals.
Furthermore, companies operating in the four provinces heavily affected by the earthquake (Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya) have been granted extra time to fulfill their export commitments.
