The Italian steel company Acciaierie d'Italia (ADI) is reported to have produced 3 million tons of steel in 2023.
According to the information received from ADI, the company reached 1 million tons of raw materials and finished products. Sources, however, reported that the company has liquidity problems, has a debt of approximately 3.1 billion Euros and is at risk of closure due to similar reasons. Acciaierie d'Italia is expected to shut down its blast furnace No. 2 and several facilities in Taranto, as well as coke oven batteries in the near future.
Acciaierie d'Italia reported that although it produces 3 million steel, sales are not guaranteed and rising energy costs have also affected its total debt of 3.1 billion.
