Within the scope of developing the industry, supporting production and investments, 82 billion 181 million TL resources were allocated from the budget to achieve the targets.

In this framework, the share of the manufacturing industry in GDP is expected to be 21.1 per cent next year and its exports are expected to be 252.3 billion dollars.

The share of medium-high technology products in manufacturing industry exports is targeted to be 38 percent in 2024 and the share of high-tech products to be 3.9 percent.

In this period, Turkiye is expected to receive $17.9 billion in international direct investment inflows.

Expectation in the number of domestic patent applications 56 per cent

In order to contribute to technological progress and increase innovation activities by increasing industrial property awareness in all segments of society, serving the protection and commercialisation of these rights, approximately 512 million TL was allocated from the budget.

In this context, it is aimed for Türkiye to take the 10th place in the world ranking in domestic patent applications in 2024. In terms of the number of international patent applications originating from Türkiye, it is foreseen that the country's place in the world will contribute to the increase in innovation capacity.

Within the scope of the development and localisation of national technologies, the increase in the share of the number of domestic patent applications in the total number of applications is planned to contribute to Türkiye's innovation and technological progress.

The share of domestic patent applications in total applications, which is estimated to be 55 per cent at the end of the year, is expected to increase to 56 per cent next year.

It is aimed to allocate 4 billion 83 million liras to space and aviation activities next year.
