A great opportunity
Mustafa Atayi Pour, Vice President of Purchasing at Mobarakeh Steel, noted that the festival was organized with the aim of localization and local manufacturing, especially in the field of parts and equipment, and that this organization offers a great opportunity to meet critical needs in the country's steel industry.
In his speech, Atayi Pour said the following:
“This fair was launched in 2019 to find solutions to the needs of manufacturing and knowledge-based companies in the steel industry. It is a great platform not only for steel producers but also for technology companies and local suppliers. At Mobarakeh Steel, we believe that such events increase our interaction with stakeholders in the industry. Within the festival, we aim to attract the interest of many companies and add new names to Mobarakeh Steel's supplier database.”
Highlighting that the festival plays a critical role in promoting localization projects in steel production, Atayi Pour emphasized that information sharing and transfer of know-how is a fundamental element for the sustainable growth of the steel industry.
“For us, localization is not only limited to equipment production. It also includes the sharing of know-how in production processes and the introduction of innovative solutions to the sector. In order to increase the competitiveness of the steel industry, we have to create an ecosystem based on domestic production. For this reason, meetings will be organized within the scope of the fair where technical information will be discussed in depth in various panels.”
Pointing out that Mobarakeh Steel will participate in the 6th Iran National Steel Festival and Exhibition in two main sections and five different axes, Atayi Pour said that these axes were determined according to the priorities in the sector.
“The first section focuses on the localization of raw materials on the basis of equipment. This process will be an important step especially for the conversion of imported parts into local production. The second part is more comprehensive. It includes critical issues such as increasing productivity, reducing energy consumption, developing solutions to water problems, environmental sustainability and circular economy. At the same time, projects for digital transformation and smart production technologies will stand out in this section.”
The festival will continue until January 9th
The festival, which started today, will last until January 9 (Thursday) 2025. Visitors will be able to visit the exhibition between 09:00-16:00 every day. Various panels, cooperation agreements and award ceremonies will be organized as part of the festival.
Officials said they expect a large participation from steel industry manufacturers, technology companies and universities. The festival is an important platform to increase the domestic production capacity of the Iranian steel industry.
