According to the recent updates, Industeel, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions, has started the construction of a vertical continuous casting machine (CCM-Continuous Casting Machine) in Le Creuosot, France, with an investment of 52 million Euros.
The vertical continuous casting machine will be supplied by the Italian company Danieli and is expected to be in operation in 2025. With this CCM with Danieli 3Q technology, it is aimed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and energy consumption by 10% annually. With this machine, the facility is expected to produce around 30-50 thousand tons of steel plate per year.
Furthermore, it is reported that the vertical continuous casting machine, which is planned to contribute to sustainability, can be used in many areas such as the automotive industry.
