Australian company Group 6 Metals has resumed tungsten production on Tasmania Island. The company has shipped the first shipment of concentrated tungsten trioxide from the Dolphin mine in 30 years.
Currently, Group 6 is in the final stages of preparing the facilities within the complex for commissioning and conducting equipment testing, which are necessary to enhance production. At present, the mine and its facilities are actively involved in the processing of low-grade tungsten ores.
The Dolphin operation is anticipated to continue for approximately another 14 years, with an annual capacity to process up to 450,000 tons of ore.
