“Our exporters, who are members of the Aegean Exporters' Associations, exported 1 billion 850 million dollars to Germany in 2023. The biggest contribution to this export was made by our steel, iron and non-ferrous metals sectors with 324 million dollars. Throughout Türkiye, these two sectors exported 2.5 billion dollars to Germany. Despite the paradox of high energy costs in Turkey and the exchange rate not increasing at the rate of inflation, the exports of our Turkish exporters to Germany deserve all kinds of appreciation. If a platform is created for our exporters to compete with their competitors in the world, our exports to Germany can reach 500 million dollars in the short term. "The density of business owners of Turkish origin in Germany and the historical ties between Turkey and Germany pave the way for the development of foreign trade between the two countries."
